Dacotrans through its world-wide network organizes maritime transports. The activities include the shipment of over dimensional packages, prefabricated or complete modules and complete industrial plants by economical liner vessels, special heavy lift carriers, semi trailers and Ro-Ro vessels.

Air division of Dacotrans take care of IATA bookings, split bookings, split chartered flights and provide the clients with a technically sound and economical solution of air fright. Air divisions of Dacotrans group maintain fully operational offices at the major airports in Germany and USA for imports & exports of industrial cargo.

Packing cases are made in different types of wood to suit the requirement. The packing is designed to suite cargo load and facilitate multiple handlings by means of forklift, cranes etc. Wood is heat treated prior to fabrication or can be fumigated upon assembly as per the requirement of the client. Wrapping of HDPE foil, aluminum composite foil, etc. is provided inside the cases depending upon the application. Desiccants are placed in the boxes to protect the goods from corrosion 

Dacotrans can organize handling of the goods both at the job site or at the port. The activities include container stuffing, dunnaging and securing of the cargo inside the container, lashing & securing of the ODC cargo on special purpose containers, mounting of vessels onto the saddles and lashing, loading and off loading of the containers, heavy lift packages and over dimensional consignments form the trailers etc.

Dacotrans can organize custom clearance of the goods almost at any port or dry port both for import as well export of the goods from India. Custom clearance can be carried out under special duty exemption schemes as per the requirement of the customer.

Industrial cargo consisting of heavy lift & ODC packages & multi-modal transportation by road or rail requires meticulous planning prior to the actual execution. A route survey is often carried out to assess the obstacle enroute including bridges, culverts, narrow passages, overhead crossings, etc. The cost of temporary civil work is estimated.

The logistics of industrial cargo often demands intermediate warehousing for few days to several weeks due to the business conditions. The cargo needs to be stored in open or under covered area depending upon the nature. The cargo is safely unloaded at the warehouse, stored under security and re-loaded on the outgoing vehicles based on the client's requirement.
